    ITINERARY

Welcome to Shanghai! Upon arrival, you will be met by your local guide and driver, and then transferred to the hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the nearby areas if you want. Or just have a relaxing time after a long flight.

Shanghai is considered as the most developed metropolis in China. Many people know China from this city as it represents for fashion and enthusiasm. We will have a day tour start with exploring Shanghai Museum as museum usually is the best place to get to know the past and present of a city in a short time. It is one of the Best Four Museums, with thousands of world-standard precious historic relics in exhibition, dating from over 5,000 years ago to now.

The next stop is not far from the museum, which is a typical Chinese garden with Jiangnan style. It is hidden among high buildings, just like a oasis in the desert. This design highly meets the idea of Confucians, who believe that, the “lesser hermit” lives in seclusion in the country, while the “greater hermit” does so in the city. Beautiful designs are everywhere. Jagged pavilions with exquisite decorations, glittering pools with roving fishes… outside the garden is the Yuyuan Bazaar, where is full of wonderful food stalls and traditional Chinese handicrafts’ shops.

Let’s then go back from the man-made garden to the man-made building — Shanghai World Financial Center with a more interesting nick name — “the Eye of Shanghai”. Here you will easily get a super-excellent panoramic view of the whole face of Shanghai.

Then walk into the modern Shanghai, we will visit another very popular landmark of Shanghai — Nanjing Road. It is a shopping paradise where you can buy almost any latest product of any international brand.

Later in the day, end up your tour today with strolling along the Bund, which originally is a towpath for transporting goods. Nowadays, it has become a busy trading district and you will see and feel the unique scenery of fusion of Chinese and Western cultures in this place.

Recommended optional activities: 1. Acrobatic show performed between 19:30 to 21:00. 2. Enjoying the night scene of Huangpu River in a cozy cruise (about 50 minutes)

After having breakfast, we’ll head to the railway station to take the high speed train to visit the Wuzhen Water Town, which has a long history more than 6,000 years and considered as one of the four great water towns at the region south of the Yangtze River. As one of the ten most charming and famous towns in China, Wuzhen attracts tons of travelers every year from home and abroad.

Upon your arrival, you can deeply explore this gorgeous water town. First, you can go to visit the West Scenic Area of Wuzhen, which is known as the most popular among international visitors with over 20 scenic spots showing the culture, history and folk custom of Wuzhen and wonderful night lights sightseeing. In addition, you can stroll around the leisure streets and lanes to visit the remained dyeing workshop with herbs and hanging cloths, “three-inch “golden lotuses” with over 800 pairs of various foot binding shoes, old post office operating for more than 110 years, etc. There are many must-visit attractions such as Bailian Pagoda, Tongji Bridge and Renji Bridge, large classic garden, ancient academy, soy sauce workshop, plentiful of old constructions from Ming and Qing era, and various shops and stores selling local handicrafts and snacks.

Afterwards, drive about 1.5 hrs from Wuzhen to Hangzhou for overnight stay.

The journey today will begin from the West Lake, a fabulous place for photography because of its natural beauty. Suggest you rent a bicycle or take a boat to enjoy the beautiful views of lake and surrounding mountains. Then go to view fish at flower pond, hang out for 30 minutes or 1 hour to see the sight of brightly colorful fish swimming around and listen the brisk melody of chirpy birdsong.

Then pay a visit to the Leifeng Pagoda, which is one of the Ten Views of the West Lake, and become famous because of “White Snake” legend. Later visit Liuhe Pagoda which is located at the foot of Yuelun Hill facing the Qiantangjiang River. You will have an impressive experience in taking in the ancient Chinese architecture.

Next, visit the famous Hangzhou Song Dynasty Town. Give me a day, give you a thousand years! Hangzhou Song Dynasty Town is a scenic spot that crosses ancient and modern times and subverts imagination. Twenty theaters and hundreds of performances can’t be finished in one day. There is always one that suits you.

At Last, head to the LingYin Temple, where you can pray for best luck and have a spiritual trip. It is adjacent to the West Lake and the earliest Buddhist temple in China and one of the ten ancient temples in China, with many exquisite cultural relics of various dynasties. Here, you can also admire the great art treasures and masterpieces, and the fantastic scenery around the temple.

Afterwards, be escorted to the airport or railway station in Hangzhou for your flight / train to the next destination or home. Tour ends!
