Zhejiang

The Zhejiang dialect is arguably one of the most difficult to understand in China. There is no fully systematic language classification in Zhejiang, but each region has a dialect of each region. The language varies greatly from region to region. Basically, from the north of Zhejiang to the south of Zhejiang, it is a process of language transformation.

Zhejiang actually is the old name of the Qiantang River.

Zhejiang is a subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons, moderate annual temperature, abundant rainfall, humid air. The annual temperature is 15~18℃, lowest in January and highest in July, and May and June are the rainfall period.

Zhejiang cuisine originated from Hemudu culture in the Neolithic Age, rich in Jiangnan characteristics, is a famous local cuisine in China with a long history, represented by West Lake Vinegar Fish, Braised Dongpo Pork, Braised Bamboo Shoots, Stir-fried Shrimps with Longjing Tea, Jiaxing Zongzi, Steamed Pork with Rice Flour in Lotus Leaf, etc.

1. Wuzhen East Gate: it has become a leader among the ancient towns in Jiangnan with its original water town style and millennia-old cultural deposits. The street is formed by the river, the street is connected by the bridge, and the house is built by the river, which reflects the humanistic thought of harmony as the beauty of Chinese classical folk houses.
2. West Lake: it has a basic pattern with a mountain, two towers, three islands, three dikes, five lakes, dotted with ten scenery, nature and humanity complement each other, nothing more beautiful can be imagined.
3. Mount Putuo: it is the ashram of Avalokitesvara, the entire island is in a long strip shape. The South China Sea Avalokitesvara Statue is a landmark building on the island.
4. Hefang Street: an ancient street with a long history and profound cultural heritage, was once the cultural, economic and trade center of the Southern Song Dynasty. The reconstructed Hefang Street shows the style of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, and is one of the streets that can best reflect the historical and cultural style of Hangzhou at present.
