In the “fog city” Chongqing, you can visit the landmark of Chongqing – Monument to the People’s Liberation, famed Hong Ya Cave, and the most exciting part is that you can take a cruise to enjoy the super fantastic view around the Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge if you’re interested. When it comes to Chengdu, it is often famed for the hometown of Giant Pandas as well as the Gastronomic Capital.     ITINERARY

    Welcome to fog city – Chongqing. Our professional and local guide will meet you at the airport, railway station, or port, then take you to your hotel by a comfortable private vehicle and help you with check-in. In the rest of the day, you can explore nearby as much as possible by your own.

    (Here are recommended places which are worthy for your visiting. If you are able to arrive in Chongqing earlier, you can visit one of the landmarks of Chongqing – Monument to the People’s Liberation, it marks China’s victory in the anti-fascist war and is also an important witness to the liberation of the Chinese people. If you want to know about China and Chinese history, it’s totally a suitable place worthy for your visiting. It is not only the epitome of Chongqing’s unban development, but also the spiritual energy of Chongqing people. Besides, you can find the Bayi Road Snack Street, which is the nearest food street to Monument to the people’s Liberation as well as the first stop for Chongqing snacks, and there is an underground snack city. It is a paradise for food lovers, you can taste various local Chongqing snacks and food to spend a leisure time.)

    After breakfast, your tour guide will take you to the Yangtze River Cableway, the total length of the cable is 1166 meters and the speed is 6 meters per second, just in 4 and half minutes you can pass through to the other side. If you are an adventurer, you can try to experience the entertaining Yangtze River Cableway to have a panoramic view of around buildings and places.

    Next, pay a visit to the Hong Ya Cave, which is one of the ancient city gates of Chongqing; with urban tourism landscape, business leisure landscape and cultural landscape integrated, is a witness of Chongqing’s history and culture and a symbol of Chongqing’s urban spirit. In this landmark spot of Chongqing, you can fully appreciate its unique humanistic connotation and bright architectural features; it has become a popular scenic spot second only to the Forbidden City in terms of tourist flow.

    Then, head to Chongqing Chaotianmen Square after having lunch. Located on the Chaotianmen Wharf, Chaotianmen was once one of Chongqing’s 17 ancient city gates, from which Three Gorges cruises, sightseeing cruises and ferries to Foreigner Street depart. The night view of Chaotianmen is particularly glamorous, you can take many photos here and spend a memorable time.

    After visiting Chaotianmen Square, your tour guide will take you to the Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge. The bridge is connected with the Dongshuimen Yangtze River Bridge through the Yuzhong Tunnel, forming a dual-purpose railway express connecting Jiangbei urban area, Jiefangbei CBD and Danzishi area on the south bank. Designed as a partial cable-stayed bridge with single tower and single cable plane, the upper layer of urban road bridge is about 878 meters long, and the lower layer of double-line rail transit bridge is about 720 meters long. If you want, you can take a cruise to enjoy the super fantastic view around the Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge. You can spend an unforgettable night or have a nice dinner neighborhood until your tour guide and driver escort you to the hotel.

    Start your last day’s trip after having lunch by visiting Chongqing Graffiti Street, strolling on this peaceful and characteristic street, feel the strong atmosphere of art. This short street is covered with graffiti, from buildings and walls to the outer walls of schools and shops, which is equivalent to a giant 3D graffiti painting. Hence, it’s a super perfect place to take some amazing photos and spend a relaxing time.

    Then, go to visit a must-see attraction – Ciqikou ancient town, which is known as a historical and cultural street in China, 14km from Chongqing city center. It is a folk town with a history of 1,000 years, and was the north gate of ancient Chongqing. In the Ming Dynasty, Cichikou formed a commercial wharf where land and water meet. It is a perfect epitome of old Chongqing, you can wander around the flagstone road, taste the delicious local snacks, find a tea house to have a cup of tea, feel the local customs of Chongqing, experience the unique charm of Old Chongqing, etc. In the afternoon, your guide will escort you to the railway station to catch the high-speed train to Chengdu.

    In the morning after breakfast, you will be met at the hotel lobby. We will drive about 1.2 hours to Mount Qingcheng. If you a a mountain climber and nature lover, it is really a wonderful place for you to get more close to nature. Mount Qingcheng is one of the four major Taoist shrines in China, in this fairyland you can not only admire the great masterpiece of nature, but also feel its unique Taoist culture.

    Then we will drive to visit the magnificent World Cultural Heritage Dujiangyan, which is the world’s oldest, the only remaining dam as well as a grand hydraulic project. At the same time, it is the crystallization of the wisdom of the ancient Chinese people and an epoch-making masterpiece of Chinese culture. Besides, it is the only great ecological project left in the world so far, opening a new era in the history of water resources in ancient China and marking a new stage in the history of water resources in China.

    We will visit the famed Leshan Giant Buddha today, which is a huge statue carved into the side of Lingyun Mountain. Taller by 17 meters than the standing Buddha in Afghanistan, the Leshan Giant Buddha is the tallest and largest Buddha in the world. It is carved on the cliff of Lingyun Mountain with a delicate design of drainage system. There is a local saying: “The mountain is a Buddha and the Buddha is a mountain”. It was included by UNESCO on the list of World Heritage sites.

    Next, drive back to urban area to experience the local customs of old Chengdu by visiting the relaxing Broad and Narrow Alley. It is a relatively large existing Qing Dynasty ancient street in Chengdu; in Broad Alley, you can enjoy the most authentic Sichuan cuisine and experience the local customs of old Chengdu while the Narrow Alley is a leisure life area focusing on the Western-style food culture, art and leisure. Afterwards, your local tour guide will escort you back to the hotel. (If you want to spend more time in Broad and Narrow Alley and taste the special Sichuan food and local snacks, please let your tour guide know in advance.)

    After breakfast, start your day with an exciting trip to the Giant Panda Base, which completely simulates the wild living environment of Giant Pandas, it looks so natural that also has lakes, streams, bamboo forests, lawns, etc. There are more than 100 giant pandas, you can observe the Giant Pandas in a close distance and learn about their living habits. In addition to Giant Pandas, you can also see small animals such as black-necked cranes, peacocks and ospreys. Besides, you can send postcards with panda postmark at the Panda Country Post Office near the gate of the museum or watch documentaries about pandas at the cinema in the museum. Then, head to the majestic Wenshu Temple to have a spiritual trip. It was built in the Sui Dynasty, houses plenty precious cultural relics and thousands of Buddhist scriptures and documents. After appreciating art treasures, you can enjoy Sichuan’s unique bowl tea in the tea house of Wenshu Temple.

    After lunch, your tour guide will take you to the entertaining Renmin Park, which is considered as one of the best places to truly experience the life style of “leisure Chengdu city”. Next, head to the antique commercial street – Jinli, it is one of the most popular scenic spots in Chengdu, and also a part of WuHou Shrine Museum. Here, you can enjoy the craft of making clay figures and sugar painting, and also browse the shops with unique characteristics of The Three Kingdoms. There are various of characteristic snacks, tea houses, cafes, bars, inns, etc. You can take some terrific photos especially at dusk the whole street looks surprisingly beautiful. After visiting the Jinli Street, your driver will escort you to the airport or railway station for your next trip. Tour ends.
