Ningxia

Ningxia is the ancient Xixia region, the Yuan Dynasty destroyed Xixia, set up a house road here, take the meaning that pacified Xixia and hoped it peaceful, named Ningxia, which is the earliest source of Ningxia.

Ningxia wine industry is located at about 38 degrees north latitude, with suitable altitude, sufficient sunshine, large temperature difference between day and night, dry and mild climate, good soil permeability and rich in minerals, with the “time and terrain” to grow excellent grapes, the wine produced by moderate sugar and acid, with obvious Chinese style and Oriental characteristics.

1. Western Xia Imperial Tombs, one of the largest and moat complete imperial mausoleums in China.
2. Shuidong Gou, showing the life of ancient humans 30,000 years ago.
3. Rock Art Helan Mountain, the painting carved on rocks by the ancient northern minorities expressing their yearning for a better life.
4. Shapotou Scenic Spot, a collection of desert, Yellow River, mountains and oasis.
5. The China Western Film Studios, is characterized by simplicity, primitive, rough, desolate and folk, can be called “Oriental Hollywood”.

According to the legend, in ancient times, a phoenix flew from Helan Mountain to see the Yellow River across here, wheat waves rolling, and a beautiful southern scene, can not bear to leave, actually incarnate into a beautiful city, Yinchuan.

Ningxia is the smallest province in China and is very suitable for a short trip, generally 3 days is just enough to explore most famous sights in Ningxia.
